CELEBRATE SHOW’S RETURN, PREMIERING 23 APRIL
ON E! AFRICA (DStv CHANNEL 124) & UNIVERSAL+
In the lead up to the much-anticipated return of E! Africa’s Celebrity Game Night, host Anele Mdoda came together with fans – along with team captains Ayanda Thabethe and Jason Goliath – to enjoy a preview screening of the first episode in Johannesburg. The fourth instalment of the SAFTA award-winning series premieres weekly from Sunday 23 April at 19:00 CAT on E! Africa (DStv channel 124), with episodes available on Universal+ immediately after.
Speaking at the screening event, Mdoda shared her passion for the popular series: “Just when we think that we can’t have any more fun, Celebrity Game Night finds a way to bring in bigger games and new celebrities. Me, Jason and Ayanda have become more than just friends, we’re now siblings who have the most amount of FUN and it beams through in the new season!”
Team captain Ayanda Thabethe commented: “I consider it a privilege and an honour to be part of Celebrity Game Night. It’s a show that keeps a whole family engaged, so it makes sense that it would be so popular and continuing for a fourth season. The show has taught me that I’m competitive, that I love winning, but also that I am a team player. It keeps getting better and better!”
Team captain Jason Goliath added with delight, “When I leave the house to go film a new season of Celebrity Game Night, I tell my wife I’m off to go drink and play with my friends because that’s what it really feels like. We get to peel away a lot of the industry fluff because the show does such a good job of making people feel safe enough to let their guard down.”
Season Four features formidable returning guests including Pearl Modiadie, Lorna Maseko, Maps Maponyane, Khanya Mkangisa, Skhumba, Moshe Ndiki, Loyiso Gola, Warren Masemola, Mpho Popps, Glen Biderman-Pam, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, Chris Jaftha and Mojak Lehoko.
