Born Emmanuel Dlamini, Black Rose is a South African hip-hop artist, songwriter, and producer who was born and raised in Stinkwater, a major township in Pretoria. He just recently dropped a single titled ‘Angi Pheli Umoya’ which means ‘don’t give up hope’ in Isizulu. This in anticipation of his upcoming EP, Chase The Dream which is set to drop between August and September 2021 under Black Rose Entertainment which is the artists’ own record label.
“Chase The Dream is an EP that consists of four songs and is all about believing in myself and chasing my dreams. In this EP, I express what I want and need, motivating and inspiring others not to lose hope in life or their dreams, especially during this pandemic that we are living in”, says Black Rose.
Black Rose has always dreamt of one day claiming his spot in the hip-hop industry as one of the best artists and he won’t stop until he does that. The artist has shared stages with include the likes of Kwesta, Kid X, Young Swiss, Big Zulu and Chomee.
“This EP is for everyone that has felt themselves giving up and losing hope. I am from a city where no one believed in me, but I never gave up on my dream. I kept pushing, not because I wanted the fame but because I believed that I could do anything that I put my mind to. Chase The Dream is inspired by every dream that I want to turn into a reality for myself”, adds Black Rose.
Black Rose looks forward to doing big things like hosting concerts and going on tours where he can get recognition and an opportunity to interact with his supporters. He believes that one day his music will reach and speak to the masses, telling his story through lyrics and beats.
“DJ Sbu is one of my greatest inspirations as he is an advocate for standing firm by what you believe in and going after it, no matter how hard or impossible it may seem.
