On March 13th, countless people across the world celebrate the annual Birthday celebration of their Founder L. Ron Hubbard. Considering the full body of L. Ron Hubbard’s life, including the more than ten thousand authored works and three thousand tape-recorded lectures of Dianetics and Scientology, coupled with the hundreds of millions whose life have been demonstrably bettered because he lived, Scientologists and Church of Scientology South Africa are now gearing their attention towards celebrating the well-lived life of their Founder, L. Ron Hubbard, whose Birthday is on 13 March with more celebrations coming throughout March.

Taking everything into consideration some of the aspects of his life, from the generations of students now reading superlatively because of L. Ron Hubbard’s educational discoveries, the millions more freed from drug abuse through his breakthrough in drug rehabilitation, still more he touches by his common sense moral code and the millions more who hold his work as the spiritual  cornerstone of their lives, it is no wonder that Scientologists want to celebrate his Birthday and all his accomplishments.

In South Africa specifically, Scientologists say he will always remain known for his anti-apartheid stance and no tolerance on human rights violation of any person.  While in South Africa in the 1960’s, he proposed to the government a new constitution suggesting “one man, one vote” as he was very much against discrimination.

His discoveries in the human mind and spirit form the basis of all else he accomplished.   That he was ultimately successful is evidenced by the expansion of Scientology which can be found in the ten thousand groups and organizations in over 150 nations which use the various technologies of Dianetics and Scientology.

When asked what L. Ron Hubbard represents for themselves, some commented, “Studying his writing about the mind and the spirit has given me my life back.  I am ethical and I truly enjoy life in a way I could not have imagined before,” said a veteran Scientologist for the last 40 years.  Or “Scientology saved my life. I managed to come back from unimaginable life difficulties, stress, trauma and now I can stand on my own two feet and make good choices in life.” Said another.

“For me it is simple. Mr. Hubbard was a genius way ahead of his time. He used it to develop humanitarian solutions for problems we all face. My family and I openly attribute much of our happiness built on strong relationships, care and compassion to the knowledge we gained from Mr. Hubbard’s work. It has meant everything to us,” concluded another Scientologist.

As millions around the world observe this day, millions more continue to benefit from his humanitarian work in the field of Religion, Spirituality, Social issues, Human Rights, Skills Development etc. which are all reasons for them to celebrate.  All told, L. Ron Hubbard’s works on Dianetics and Scientology comprise the largest cohesive statement on the human mind and spirit—more than 5,000 writings and 3,000 recorded lectures, thus developing his description of Scientology as accomplishing the goal of every great religion: Freeing the soul by wisdom.
