On Tuesday 29 September, Clement Manfouo, an active Scientology Volunteer Ministers in Mpumalanga held his first conference on the Tools for Life to help his community. After he learned the 19 free online courses which changed his life for the “much better”, he now wanted to bring those very practical tools to his community so they have the same tools to help themselves. He held a first seminar at a Church to make people aware that there are easy tools to learn that once learned and applied, will improve their life.
Manfouo has been working as a Volunteer Minister for over a year in Mpumalanga province, being involved in engaging his local community. Once he completed the 19 courses, he immediately built up a group of ten fully trained Volunteer Ministers who he trained through the Tools for Life courses. He was very excited to be able to organize the first ever Tools for Life seminar within the Mpumalanga province.
He stated, “When I did the courses myself, I really felt empowered. It truly gave me another viewpoint in life that once we have that data, things can never be the same. It can only take off from there and people can operate at a different level then. So I wanted others to also have those tools too,” said Clement Manfouo, the organizer of the seminar.
The seminar was attended by thirty-six participants, including media, police officials, students and community leaders. The attendees became excited by the courses and were especially blown away when a local chief was presented with his Volunteer Minister jacket, cap and certificate for having completed all 19 Tools for Life courses.
A police sergeant also in attendance spoke at the end of the seminar sharing the problems the community is facing with gender based violence. “I am very happy I attended this seminar as the Tools for Life courses will help us remedy these problems in the community!”
Other attendees were also thrilled and stated “This training made me realize that there is no problem in life that can’t be solved! These are mechanisms to change our lives on a daily basis. Job well done Scientology!” And another one said, “After today’s seminar I really see myself going somewhere in life, from now on I am going to focus on my study of these courses!”
Manfouo was satisfied with the seminar, knowing he did something to help others getting this basic knowledge. He is sure the knowledge and the application of the data in the community will soon have a ripple effect on others just as it did for him.
