DURBAN – Following a positive case found in one of the TAFTA elderly homes in Durban, Scientology Volunteer Ministers rushed to sanitize the place to prevent further spreading in the facility.
Since the beginning of July, Scientology Volunteer Ministers have been focused on donating their sanitization service to the NPO dedicated to servicing the needs of the elderly in Durban.
As soon as the Volunteers were informed of the positive case, they immediately went to work in order to safeguard the elderly despite all the risks.
To date, they have been sanitizing over 10 elderly homes weekly in KZN to assist in the mitigating of this virus and safeguard the elderly.
Today in the TAFTA Langeler facility, the Manager was so happy having the team once more to sanitize the buildings he said “I am quite impressed for what you are doing with no consideration on cost. Your dedication is amazing. It is beyond what anyone else can doing during this critical time. Thank you so much for your time and your patience to our residents. It is something that we take away from dealing with your volunteers.”
One of the elderly walked to them and said “Thank you so much for showing us love and care to come sanitize our home. This really means a lot to us that there are people like you who care enough to look after us by sanitizing our building to keep us save from this virus. This also raises our responsibility that we have to keep this building sanitized. This really melts my heart that you are volunteering to sanitize different buildings to keep everyone safe. The Church is doing a very good job and is taking a very big responsibility. Whenever you come I feel at ease, you just make my day.”
“It takes a lot of guts and courage to risk one’s life to save another but it is our honor to help and we keep at it,” said Sandile Hlayisi, Public Affairs for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers. “, it is thrilling and exciting. When we see how much we can assist our country and its people, everything is worthwhile. We are proud to assist,” did he add.
The Volunteer Ministers have been in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal since May and have been assisting in combating Covid-19.
They have sanitized over 1,878 in the Province buildings from Government to homeless shelters, clinics, old age homes, fires stations and more.
Around the Country, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers have so far sanitized more than 20,566 buildings in Gauteng, KZN, Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Free State. They have sanitized 618,791 taxis, ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, army vehicles and buses. They have given more than 366,500 hours of volunteer work and they are confident and resolute to carry on.
