October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Cancervive is delivering a message of hope that cancer is not a death sentence. For the past 12 years, Cancervive, a survivor-driven cancer awareness and education project, has visited and educated communities, particularly rural ones, about cancer in unique and inspiring ways, including an annual motorbike ride through South Africa.
As a business that holds people at the very heart of who they are, SPAR has gotten behind this remarkable project that inspires and empowers people with knowledge about the disease. On Saturday, 1st October 2022, SPAR hosted a Cancer Tea event in Cape Town at which they presented representatives from Cancervive with a cheque for R 1 350 000 to further support their efforts.
The cheque was a combination of a donation from SPAR along with the estimated proceeds from the latest SPAR campaign where a portion of every sale of SPAR 500ml Still Water with a pink label and cap is donated to Cancervive.
