Scientology Volunteer Ministers spent half a million hours volunteering since day 1 of lockdown

Scientology Volunteer Ministers, who have been an essential service for the country ever since lockdown started, now say they have provided half a million hours of volunteer work in South Africa, just to be of assistance to their country and its people and all at their own cost.   Covering now seven provinces, they have decontaminated tens of thousands of buildings, hundreds of thousands of taxis, police cars, ambulances, and more to the benefit of their communities.

Since Day 1 of lockdown, Scientology Volunteer Ministers have expanded their humanitarian activities from Gauteng to KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga and North West provinces.

In addition to providing free decontamination, they have also protected thousands by educating them on what to do to protect themselves during such a pandemic.  “It is often assumed that people should know what to do to deal with a pandemic but where are they supposed to have learned that from?   Our Stay Well information campaign translated from English into Xhosa, Zulu and Sesotho has salvaged many thousands and has protected even more because they now knew what to do,” says Sandile Hlayisi, Public Affairs Director for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers.

But the Volunteer Ministers are most proud of themselves for having decontaminated more than 31,000 buildings, and more than 800,000 taxis and essential vehicles, with many now coming back to the Volunteer Ministers to say that because of their work, they had no instances of positive covid-19 in their ranks or it was reduced from whatever it was when the Volunteer Ministers first arrived, down to no positive covid-19 cases at all, literally.

“When we started, we had no idea our work would result in so much protection for the country.  Literally, dozens are now calling us to thank us because since we have been sanitizing their buildings or vehicles regularly, there are no more instances of covid-19,” said proud Hlayisi. “When we were told by a director from a large taxi rank that none of his drivers were ever affected with covid-19 and that he attributed that directly to our work, it makes us feel peaceful within ourselves.  We know we gave it our best to contribute and no amount of money could ever replace that sense of knowing we did help and the help was palpably real,” added Hlayisi.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers are now also going around teaching to others the Tools for Life courses from L. Ron Hubbard that they had learned and which made them able to do all this work with zero day off for over six months.

Thousands have now done courses, with some joining the Volunteer Ministers in their work of decontaminating buildings and they now experienced themselves the value it is to help, even for nothing in exchange.  “It is just a different thing by itself – the true feeling of having helped,” concluded Hlayisi.
