In a bid to assist learners and create a bigger impact in keeping learners in the classroom, PPC identified schools in the North West and Gauteng provinces to assist with school uniforms, shoes, face-masks, bags and stationaries. The recipients are Matsheke Primary School in Pretoria, Gauteng. Valued at R90 000.00 the uniforms will empower 124, unprivileged learners, to experience a better quality of life and empower them for the future.

As a 100% local company that provides 100% quality cement and building materials, PPC’s ongoing engagement with the communities it operates in has propelled the business to empower the community to experience a better quality of life. PPC remains optimistic about the opportunities that exist in the socio-economic landscape and our education system.

Boitumelo Mnisi, General Manager at PPC RSA explained, “The donation is part of PPC’s drive to bring about meaningful and sustainable development. The right to education is a basic human right however some children are deprived of it due to the hardships and difficult circumstances they live in. With this donation of school uniforms to xx learners, we hope it will keep learners in the classroom and give learners a purpose to achieve their dreams”.

In recognition of the basic needs in the communities in which we operate, we have continued to work with communities in a sustainable manner. The partners have come together to give the learners and schools a sustainable value that encourages them to experience a better quality of life. The business’ efforts have been a welcomed contribution in the schools as school learners won’t drop out of school because of lack of tools.

Committed to addressing this immediate challenge, PPC, a business that exists to empower the community to experience a better quality of life, remains steadfast in its commitment to providing something of enduring value through its 100% local products with 100% quality for all its customers and communities.

Principal Ivy Aphane at Matsheke Primary School said, “We thank PPC for the donation we know there are more children who will stand confidently and boldly knowing they have a clean and bright set of uniforms. Thank you for securing, recognizing and equipping to shape the future of our future leaders,”

“Our partnership with the schools allows the pupils and community to experience the PPC brand promise, STRENGTH BEYOND. We believe that by working with the schools today, we take the critical steps to ensure a better tomorrow for us all,” concluded Mnisi”.
