Park Station sanitised weekly to mitigate Covid-19
Park Station, Johannesburg.

The second largest railway station in Africa, Park Station, was sanitized last night by Scientology Volunteer Ministers to protect the estimated 100,000 people who commute from there daily.

Since Lockdown restriction have been lessening throughout the lockdown, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers decided to donate their time to sanitizing the entire park station on a weekly basis.
They consider that it is part of their humanitarian work to assist and to make people feel safer and secure during such a trying time.

Nearly terrorized by the disaster that Covid-19 could cause in the station, the managers from Park Station were more than thrilled to accept the assistance of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers who offered to sanitize the entire station
at their own cost and during the night.

One of the Managing Directors from the City of Johannesburg stated, “I am actually in tears right now, I can’t believe what you have done for us, working into the night to decontaminate Park Station.”

“I am beyond grateful for what you have done. It is actually an honor and a privilege to know you,” added the Managing Director.

Scientology Volunteer Ministers claim they get their abilities and strength in such time from the study of the Volunteer Ministers technology written by L. Ron Hubbard for South Africa more than 50 years ago. They take it as a responsibility and an honor to be able to assist and they do so with dignity.

“I am beyond grateful for what you have done. It is actually an honor and a privilege to know you,” added the Managing Director.

“To make people happy and safer brings tears to our eyes as well. Whatever we have to do to safeguard essential services is what we do, irregardless of time of day,” said Sandile Hlayisi, Public Affairs Director for the Scientology Volunteer Minister. “It is quite a task to do all we do – the 12 to 15 hours’ day, seven days a week ever since lockdown – but as our motto said, “Something can be done about it”, so we do it with pleasure and as our contribution to help our country, our President and the beautiful people of South Africa,” Hlayisi added.

Hlayisi commented as well that throughout all the work done and the more than 200,000 hours of volunteer work given since lockdown hit, they were able to meet with many people of goodwill and that was an important back up to them too as it brought them comfort and strength during their task.
