Over the past few months, Rachel has been quite candid in sharing about their journey since the Rugby World Cup, including their big move to France. In their latest adventure, the family looks to be experiencing a magical snow holiday – in the French Alps!

Rachel’s Instagram stories have been showcasing their trip so far, including giving us a glimpse into their private chalet, the resort’s ski room and indoor pool, the all-inclusive dining, the family’s first skiing and snowboarding sessions, and more.

This Club Med resort has ski-in and ski-out facilities, is kitted out with an indoor heated pool, a jacuzzi, fitness centre, spa, Kids Club, and so much more. Club Med is well-known for their all-inclusive model which is very popular among travellers from South Africa particularly for snow holidays, as all meals, drinks, entertainment, ski passes, ski or snowboarding lessons with qualified instructors, and more are all included. Travellers also have the option to book skis, snowboards, ski boots, snowboarding boots and helmets with Club Med on their snow holiday.
Valmorel is a quaint skiing village located in the Tarentaise Valley in the heart of the French Alps, and is popular with families, beginners and intermediate skiers. It is part of the ski area known as the Grand Domaine, and sits at an altitude of 1,400 metres. The Grand Domaine’s elevation ensures good snow coverage and reliable skiing conditions, especially at higher altitudes where temperatures are colder. These colder temperatures help maintain the quality and longevity of the snow throughout the European snow season (being December to April).
