Well known for his role in the advancement of Aesthetic Medicine, both locally and internationally, Dr Reza Mia is set to launch his very first practice in Cape Town this Heritage Month.
In September, the Johannesburg-based aesthetics doctor will open his doors to Cape Town patients for the very first time, especially those who are hoping to enjoy a little self-improvement.
“I am excited to open doors in Camps Bay in Cape Town. We have many patients that live in The Mother City and instead of them travelling all the time we decided that it might be a good idea to travel there to see them and we are open to new patients as well. It will be just in time for everyone to get summer ready and feel confident about their appearance.”
Dr. Reza added that due to the incredible ongoing demand from clients based in Cape Town for his services, it made sense for the business to branch out into Cape Town and expand its footprint internationally over time.
“We have four new practices set to roll out over the next two years and Cape Town will be the first of these. The increasing demand for high end aesthetic treatments is incredible and I want to be able to service these clients with the best that the aesthetic medical world has to offer. This is my motto – Timeless Elegance TM (must be included in superscript), we want our clients to age gracefully and to look as natural as possible over an extended period of time.”
Having also worked in the department of plastic surgery as a medical officer, Dr. Reza has spent considerable hours assisting other surgeons in hundreds of plastic and reconstructive surgeries. These practical lessons have provided him with a greater insight into the interaction between aesthetic products and the human body.
“I have spent years honing my skills and abilities; after all, your face becomes my canvas and I will do my best to put right what makes you feel insecure”.
Capetonians will have access to “most of the treatments that Dr Reza’s Johannesburg practice offers.

Dr. Reza played the pivotal role in forming a business relationship with American plastic surgeon, Dr Robert Rey, also known as Dr. 90210, from E!’s hit show. Together they educated people on safe and responsible aesthetic treatments, while providing people with Dr 90210’s skin care and anti-ageing products in South Africa.
He gained valuable experience when he assisted Dr. Robert Rey and Dr. Ridwan Mia in the first and to date, the only, Peri-umbilical breast augmentation to be performed on the continent.
The gifted aesthetics doctor previously participated in a global study assessing the various injection techniques of Restylane’s SkinBooster dermal filler, making a tangible contribution to the field. He added to his list of accomplishments when he became the first doctor in South Africa to complete the Silhouette Soft advanced training course and has been internationally published in the London Aesthetics Journal.
Dr. Reza has a wonderful approach to the medical methods he uses.
“I never do the unnecessary, and I am always there for my patients. I aim for my patients to walk out feeling confident in the knowledge that they are in the right hands,” he says.

Dr. Reza’s innovative spirit and artistic eye has extended far beyond the medical and aesthetic world to that of aerospace engineering and luxury transport. With the introduction of the Vertical BUsiness Jet by Pegasus Universal Aerospace, which featured in the Hollywood movie The Lost City. With this invaluable expertise, the world-renowned doctor brings the knowledge and skill that he gains from aerospace engineering and design and applies this back to aesthetic medicine to give his patients a truly unique experience and final result. This concept was validated when Dr. Reza began exploring a novel device that he envisioned designed to deliver babies who were in breech without the need for surgery. The converse is also true, with knowledge and ideas passing from aesthetic medicine to the aerospace field.

Also the man behind the company Pegasus Universal Aerospace, he was a finalist at the 2015 AVI awards (ATNS AVI Afrique Aviation Innovation Summit) and has as recently received the young entrepreneur award for his Vertical Business Jet idea as well as an Innovators award at The Congress of Business and Economics.

Dr Reza Mia graduated from Wits University with his medical degree at age 23 and has since been awarded the Dean’s Scholarship for Entrepreneurship from the London School of Business and Finance for an MSc Finance & Investment degree where he majored in investment banking and capital markets, graduating with Merit. Most notably, Dr. Reza completed a dissertation in Aerospace OEM analysis, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine.
