Meituan to Deploy Drones and Robots in Food Delivery Services

Meituan’s chief scientist and managing director of its automated delivery business Xia Huaxia disclosed on the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2019 that human-machine collaboration will become the new normal in food delivery industry. Xia Huaxia pointed out: “indoors robots are more mature. We have received several thousands order from around ten hotels and office buildings in Beijing and Shenzhen which are already deploying robots. We are also testing our robots to be deployed in industrial parks some of which are self-developed, others are co-developed with third party robot companies.”
