Chinese companies’ non financial direct investment to the 56 Belt and Road countries reached $10.04 billion in between January and September 2019, a year-on-year decrease of 6.9%, and taking up 12.4% of the investments made in the same period. The main destinations include Singapore,Vietnam,Laos,Indonesia,Pakistan,UAE,Thailand,Cambodia,and Kazakhstan.

When it comes to contracted projects, 4906 new contracted projects were signed with 61 Belt and Road countries, valuing at $86.8 billion and taking up 59.2% of the total contract value made during this period. It represents a year-on-year growth of 18.4%. The revenue made brought by these projects was $55.89 billion, taking up 54.7% of the total revenue made during this period and representing a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%.
