China Becomes The World’s Largest Medical Service Provider

According to the 2018 National Medical Service and Quality Safety Report released by the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China, China has become the world’s largest medical service provider. Meanwhile its medical service quality and medical technology continue to improve. By 2018, more than 12.30 million people worked in the medical sector and there were nearly 1million medical institutions in China. The number of people treated by medical institutions raised from 4.97 billion in 2005 to 8.308 billion in 2018. The number of people being transferred to the inpatient department raised from 72 million in 2005 to 255 million in 2018.
