Bitcoin has become a favorite of people ever since it’s the origin. People are investing in it like crazy and with the value of Bitcoin touching the sky, many people have become super-rich by investing just a few dollars in Bitcoin.
There is a huge mystery surrounding Bitcoin and In fact, a lot of things about Bitcoin are unknown. One of the biggest mysteries is about the founder of Bitcoin. In early 2008, the white papers of Bitcoin were produced under the pseudonym, Satoshi Nakamoto. However, this person or group of people disappeared right after the origin of Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin stood its ground firmly after it’s the origin and soon afterwards it’s value skyrocketed and it became a favorite form of investment for the people. The rest they say is history.
Many people during all this time have tried to cash the success of Bitcoin by claiming to be the founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Not just that, a few years back there was a report that Satoshi Nakamoto was found! According to a report carried by a section of the media, they had found Satoshi Nakamoto living a quiet life in Temple City, California.
Honestly, there has been a lot of drama around Satoshi Nakamoto till now, however without any success. Here are the top three Buzz makers who got a lot of attention by claiming to be Bitcoin Founder.
- Dorian Nakamoto
The name of this gentleman comes first in this list, thanks to his similarities with the founder of Bitcoin, which is much more than just his name. A publication carried a report in March 2014, in which it claimed that it has finally got the founder of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. This news created a lot of buzz and it was the first time that the media had tried to find Bitcoin creator.
Moving on, the writer of this news article claimed that Satoshi had even told her that he was no longer involved with Bitcoin. According to the article, both Satoshi and Dorian have a Japanese connection and libertarian learning.
However, Dorian Satoshi denied all these claims and said that he had misunderstood the question and he had no connection with Bitcoin or Satoshi.
- Nick Szabo
Nick Szabo is a computer engineer and a legal scholar. He is also the inventor of BitGold. He wrote a Blog on BitGold stating “a protocol where the costly bits can be created online without any dependence on third parties”. This concept is very similar to Bitcoin and many experts could not help notice the similarity of his working style with Satoshi Nakamoto. Many of the authors and blog writers were so impressed by the knowledge and technical chops of Szabo that they claimed that he is a suitable candidate for being Satoshi Nakamoto.
However, Nick never himself claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, so this puts an end to this discussion.
- Craig Wright
Australian computer scientist and entrepreneur Craig Wright is one such person who himself came out and declared to the world that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the man behind Bitcoin. Wright first came into limelight in 2015, in Bitcoin Investor’s conference, Las Vegas. He claimed that he has been for long involved with Bitcoin-Champion.
He did not stop here, he went ahead to claim for the copyright of white papers of Bitcoin showing email proof and similarity of timestamps of his and Satoshi blogs. However, nothing good has happened as of now with all these claims of Craig Wright and people started accusing him as an attention seeker.
On the other hand, Craig seems to be unaffected by all these accusations and stood his ground firmly.
In all this drama, nothing is proved and Satoshi remains unidentified. Maybe chilling somewhere in an undisclosed location and enjoying the drama unfold, over a bowl of popcorn!
