Partnering organisations, funders, school leaders, business leaders and other interested parties will once again come together to celebrate the successes of globally-ranked NPO, Symphonia for South Africa (SSA), and to reflect upon the tremendous strides made by its flagship programme, Partners for Possibility (PfP) in 2021.

To be held virtually on Thursday, 2 December from 3-5pm, this gratitude event will amplify the voices of the communities SSA serves, and appreciate those who continue to support the organisation’s work throughout South Africa.

‘’We are incredibly humbled by what we have been able to achieve this past year, despite still being in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, and facing the aftermath of the widespread social unrest our country experienced a few months ago. This is no doubt testament to the power of collaboration across sectors, conscious leadership, active citizenship, and a strong commitment by our supporters to create a better future for all. This upcoming event will see Symphonia for South Africa wrap up another impactful year – and with the hope that more active citizens from all walks of life will join us as we continue to break down barriers, connect and inspire change in South Africa,’’ says SSA Marketing and Communications Manager, Dorcas Dube.

The event will feature a keynote address by Moloko Komane, Group Head of Department for Business Advisory: Multichoice, Executive Director of Strategic African Women In Leadership and Founder and CEO of Tibane Estates.

The theme of the event is ‘’Working together to create the #TheFutureWeWant’’. Earlier this year, PfP launched the nationwide #TheFutureWeWant campaign to ramp up much-needed support for school principals. Encapsulating the hopes and dreams every citizen has for South Africa, the campaign acknowledges that the future begins with quality education for every child – and they way to achieve this is through the empowerment of the school principals who drive quality education.

In September, SSA earned a place in the 2021 top 200 non-profit organisations in the world, as published by the Geneva-based independent media organisation, NGO Advisor. SSA was among only three South African non-profits to make the 2021 NGO Advisor’s list.
