KZN Women in Business (KZNWIB) proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025, marking three decades of empowering women, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating a dynamic platform for networking and business growth. As part of this milestone year, KZNWIB is thrilled to announce Marriott Investment Managers as its meeting sponsor for the first half of the year and the Durban North Baby Home as its nominated charity for 2025.
“KZN Women in Business is a support structure for women and a forum for fostering relationships, building networks, exchanging business knowledge, and ultimately helping our members grow their businesses,” says KZNWIB Chairperson, Tilanie Grote. “This milestone is a testament to the value and authenticity of this organisation, having stood the test of time. Over the years, hundreds of business owners and corporates have been nurtured and supported, with many still attending our meetings today.”
Founded as a non-profit voluntary organisation, KZNWIB is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers and a part-time administrator. All profits raised during the financial year are donated to the nominated charity, alongside members’ individual contributions of time and expertise.
Vice-Chairperson Tanya Fleischer emphasises the organisation’s commitment to continued growth: “A hearty congratulations to KZN Women in Business on reaching 30 years! To ensure the continued success of this incredible organisation, we have set key goals for the year ahead, including:
- Skills Development: Expanding workshops to enhance leadership, finance, and digital skills.
- Networking Opportunities: Hosting diverse events to foster valuable connections.
- Diversity & Inclusivity: Ensuring a broad representation of industries and backgrounds.
- Celebrating Success: Showcasing member achievements to inspire and motivate others.
- Strengthening Our Digital Presence: Enhancing online platforms to engage and attract a wider audience.
- Social Impact: Encouraging sustainable practices and deeper community involvement.”
With a rich legacy of supporting and uplifting businesswomen in KwaZulu-Natal, KZNWIB is eager to embark on this exciting new chapter. “We welcome Marriott Investment Managers and The Baby Home on board and look forward to taking KZN Women in Business and our members to new heights this year,” concludes Grote.
“We love seeing businesses and relationships among our members flourish and encourage them to continue to connect and support one another beyond our monthly meetings.”
