The Citadel was a hive of conversations recently when a diverse group of twelve voices sat around a table to feast on a dialogue around “Assumptions vs Reality”.

“These conversation sessions are intended to bring shared lived experiences to all at the table for the building up of families, businesses and communities and more strategically those in Glenwood,” explains Storyteller and Community Builder, Karen Brokensha from Matatu Marketing.

The session was facilitated by Masters’ Graduate, Tori Robbertze, whose thesis “Design for Racial Reconciliation” with a theoretical framework on Relational Dialectics for Dialogue, which describes the struggle and opposition between differing points of view, between people from different sides of a divide.

“My heartfelt thanks to long-standing friend, mentor and social justice partner Susan Abro, a well-known family law specialist attorney for sponsoring the brunch. Our aim is to continue to build momentum and community connection through these events,” concludes Brokensha.
