Johannesburg, South Africa, 05 November 2026 – The 13th CEO Dialogue on Southern Africa is set to take place next week, backed by a prominent group of multinational and African partner organisations. The Dialogue, taking place in Johannesburg on 12 and 13 November, aims to facilitate investment in Southern Africa and catalyse trade and economic growth across the continent.

Organised by The European House – Ambrosetti (TEHA), the Dialogue brings together around 200 chief executives, ministers, central bank governors, investors and economists to discuss how Africa can finance its own development at a time of geopolitical volatility, high energy costs and trade disputes.

Event partners include Alstom, Old Mutual, BASF, BofA Securities, Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, Italian Trade Agency, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Eco Africa Energy, Italtile, BBM Law and African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation.

“The Dialogue brings together top-level business and institutional leaders to share ideas, build strong public-private partnerships, and facilitate trade and investment flows between Africa and Europe. The Summit aims to provide concrete approaches that have a direct impact for business long after the Dialogue has finished for the year,” said Pietro Mininni, CEO of TEHA Africa.

The Gauteng Province, through the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), is a cornerstone public sector partner.

Delegates will discuss how domestic capital can be mobilised to fund infrastructure, and how private sector champions can drive regional trade, job creation and growth. A dedicated session will look at how urban renewal and public-private cooperation can strengthen Johannesburg as an investment destination.

TEHA is working to have the city’s new mayor attend following local government elections on 4 November.

“What began as a bilateral initiative between Italy and South Africa is now a pan-European and pan-African platform for strategic business partnerships at the highest level,” said Nhlanhla Nene, Chairman of TEHA Africa and South Africa’s former Minister of Finance. “The partners who return each year, and Gauteng’s decision to host the Dialogue for another three years, show that leaders see lasting value in it.”
