Rokid’s debut of its lightweight AI & AR smart glasses has already carved out a record on Kickstarter. In just over a month, Rokid Glasses rose to the top spot in terms of funding among wearable devices at the moment, garnering more than $2.5 million in pledges and demonstrating that demand for everyday AI wearables is far from niche.
But the company isn’t stopping at headline-making numbers. Rokid has launched a Kickbooster referral program that empowers its community to play a direct role in spreading the word. It’s their way of rewarding enthusiasm for innovation and early adoption while extending the reach of wearable AI to more people.
Anyone who shares Rokid’s campaign and drives a successful pledge earns $50 per referral. For a product category that still needs mainstream education, this approach effectively turns early adopters into a grassroots sales force.
Rokid is raising its incentives with extra milestone bonuses. Rewards increase significantly, with five referrals earning a free pair of Rokid Glasses plus $250 in commissions, and 100 referrals potentially earning supporters up to $10,000 in cash (This structure is non-cumulative: participants receive only the highest milestone they achieve). The program continues until October 10, 2025, coinciding with the end of Rokid’s Kickstarter campaign.
At 49 grams, Rokid Glasses are billed as the world’s lightest full-function AI & AR glasses, combining real-time translation, transcription, AR navigation, object recognition, and a 12MP first-person camera in a form factor closer to eyewear than a headset. Powered by Qualcomm’s AR1 chip and paired with a portable charging case, the glasses are engineered for daily wear rather than tech demos.
The community push also mirrors Rokid’s broader ecosystem strategy. Already backed by one of the largest XR developer networks in China, the company is now looking outward. The Kickbooster program extends that model to consumers, creating a hybrid of crowdfunding, affiliate marketing, and community evangelism.
