South African businesses are being invited to enter a new nationwide competition that celebrates style, professionalism, and team unity in the workplace — with R100,000 worth of corporate clothing to be awarded to one standout team.

The Imagemakers Best Dressed Team Award is now open for entries until 30 September 2025. The competition is aimed at companies that demonstrate pride in presentation through consistent workwear — whether in the form of tailored uniforms, coordinated office outfits, or department-wide dress codes.

Organised by South African workwear specialists Imagemakers, the competition is open to teams in all industries and of all sizes, including those in government, finance, healthcare, education, hospitality, and customer-facing services.

How It Works

To enter, participating teams are required to submit a recent group photo that reflects their current approach to workplace dress, along with a short description of how this aligns with their brand or culture.

All entries must be submitted through the official competition page. Social media posting is not required, making the process accessible to teams regardless of their digital presence.

Throughout the competition period, selected entries will be featured on the Imagemakers blog and across its digital channels. These weekly features will highlight teams who are already setting a high standard for corporate fashion for the workplace, showcasing how coordinated presentation contributes to professional identity and team cohesion.

The Prize

The winning office will receive a R100,000 clothing package from Imagemakers — fully tailored to meet the specific needs of the team. This includes fittings, guidance on appropriate styles for their environment, and production of workwear designed for daily use.

Imagemakers’ offering spans classic shift dresses, tailored jackets, wrinkle-free shirts, and versatile separates, all designed for the rigours of a modern workday. Their focus is on clothing that empowers professionals to show up confidently, comfortably, and consistently.

With over three decades of experience supplying professional team uniforms in South Africa, the company has built long-standing relationships with businesses across sectors and continues to champion the role of appearance in workplace culture.

Supporting Team Identity

The Best Dressed Team Competition is about more than surface-level style. At its core, the initiative recognises the impact of clothing on team morale, customer perception, and internal culture. In industries where first impressions matter, a unified and intentional approach to dress can reinforce professionalism and brand integrity.

For many companies, investing in consistent team presentation is not just about looking good — it’s about communicating reliability, pride, and shared purpose. The competition aims to celebrate those organisations already doing this well, and to encourage others to think more intentionally about the message their clothing sends.

Who Should Enter?

This opportunity is open to any team — large or small — that puts thought into how they dress for work. Whether you have a fully branded uniform or simply maintain a coordinated look, the competition provides an opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for that effort.

Entries close on 30 September, and the winning team will be announced shortly thereafter. For full competition details and submission instructions, visit the official Imagemakers Best Dressed Team Award page.
