
NORTH WEST — Law enforcement authorities have executed a swift Sannieshof murder arrest, taking a 31-year-old man into custody following the fatal stabbing of a 25-year-old woman in Deelpan Village.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) responded to an emergency call in the village on the morning of Friday, 26 June 2026, where officers arrived to discover the deceased’s body. According to preliminary investigations, the lethal attack occurred within an eight-hour window, specifically between 22:00 on Thursday, 25 June 2026, and 06:00 the following morning.
Investigators report that the victim was subjected to a severe physical assault before being fatally stabbed. The alleged attack took place during a domestic dispute involving the woman’s boyfriend, prompting immediate police action that culminated in the suspect’s rapid apprehension.
The 31-year-old suspect remains detained in police holding cells. He is slated to make his first court appearance at the Delareyville Magistrate Court on Monday, 29 June 2026, where he will formally face a charge of murder.
