PARYS — Three suspects, aged between 25 and 30, have been arrested for the possession of dagga in Tumahole and are scheduled to appear in court.
The arrests were executed on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at approximately 13:00, by members of the Fezile Dabi District Trio Task Team. During routine patrols in the Old Location section of Tumahole, officers observed three men engaging in suspicious activity.
Police approached the individuals and conducted a search of both the suspects and the premises. During the operation, officers seized packets of dagga with an estimated street value of R36,000.
All three suspects were immediately arrested on charges of possession of dagga. Additionally, one of the suspects faces a separate charge of being an undocumented foreign national.
The trio is scheduled to make their first appearance at the Parys Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 26 June 2026.
