Officers from the Mokwakwaila Police Station arrested a 31-year-old male suspect on Sunday, 24 May 2026, for possession of suspected stolen property.

The arrest followed a tip-off regarding a refrigerator allegedly stolen from a disused business premises in Skhemming Village, within the Giyani policing area. Acting on this information, police tracked the suspect to Ga-Ramodumo in the Mokwakwaila policing area, where he was observed offloading the appliance.

Upon interception, officers recovered the suspected stolen refrigerator. The suspect was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the origin of the property.

The accused has been charged with possession of suspected stolen property and is scheduled to appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 25 May 2026.
