On 25 July 2017, at 11:00 the prisoner that prisoner from St Albans Correctional Services on 23 June 2017, the 30 year old Phumzile Langeni, was rearrested in Motherwell.
The team of detectives from Motherwell and Kwazakele that worked around the clock for the past month, made the breakthrough when the escapee was rearrested at his hideout in Hlosi Street, NU1, Motherwell.
The suspect will be detained at Mount Road Police Station and will first face an escape charge at New Law Courts before he will be transferred back to St Albans.
