A 65-year-old man, Wilson Rudolf, is scheduled to appear in the Parys Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, for a bail application following his arrest during a drug-related operation in Schonkenville, Parys.
The arrest took place on Thursday, 09 April 2026, at approximately 20:25, after law enforcement acted on intelligence regarding a residence allegedly linked to drug distribution.
The operation was conducted by a joint team comprising the Zamdela Infrastructure Task Team, Parys Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG), Tumahole Crime Prevention, and a member from the Fezile Dabi Trio Task Team.
During the search, police seized the following drugs:

299 packets of nyaope

104 packets of crystal methamphetamine

Approximately 5 kilograms of unpacked dagga

Two half Mandrax tablets
The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is approximately R10,000.
In addition, police recovered various electric tools valued at approximately R12,000. Authorities suspect the tools were stolen and exchanged for drugs.
