The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are turning up the heat in 2026. Following a record-breaking festive season, one of the world’s most iconic botanical gardens is ready to unleash the ultimate high summer vibes with a curated line-up of soul, symphony and pure sunshine – designed to make your February unforgettable.

From orchestral grandeur to entrancing sounds, this is the season of connection, celebration and music that moves you.

The line-up: A sensational sonic treat

The magic begins on 1 February 2026, with a performance of sweeping splendour. The internationally renowned Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the garden, this time with German expert on the bandoneon, the concertina style instrument central to tango, Lothar Hensel, for his rendition of a selection of Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s works from Adios Nonino to Libertango. The programme will also include fiery dances by Villa Lobos, De Falla and more, to transform Kirstenbosch into Cape Town’s most elegant stage for the day.

On 8 February 2026, prepare for a deep dive into art-pop and soulful storytelling with the visionary Msaki & The ALTBLK>>Africa Collective. Known for her hauntingly beautiful vocals and profound lyricism, Msaki joins forces with The ALTBLK>>Africa Collective to deliver a performance that is less of a concert and more of spiritual awakening. This is music that speaks directly to the soul.

The energy shifts into high gear on 15 February 2026, when local hero and global sensation Jeremy Loops takes the stage. A master of crowd-pleasing anthems and infectious energy, Loops turns every show into a massive celebration. If you already have your ticket, expect foot-stomping hits, singalongs and the kind of feel-good summer vibes that leave you bussing long after the last note fades. Regret this concert is already SOLD OUT.

In a special addition to the calendar on Saturday, 21 February 2026, Radio Tygerberg 104FM presents Under the Mountain with Ben Fuller. American Christian artist Ben Fuller, whose powerful story of addiction and redemption has inspired millions, will perform his chart-topping hits like Who I Am and If I Got Jesus. He will be joined by local gospel heavyweights Neville D, Rouchelle Liedemann and Henry Pike for a stirring evening of praise and worship beneath the mountain. Gates will open at 18h00, and tickets are R545, don’t miss it.

The soulful Sunday sessions return on 22 February 2026, welcoming a true living legend. This unmissable double-bill promises an afternoon of rich, African storytelling and acoustic mastery that pays homage to our heritage while celebrating the future.
