Between Machadodorp and Carolina, approximately 12km from Machadodorp, on 17 June, tracks were stolen which caused a train to derail.
The theft is due to high levels of ferrous and non-ferrous metal thefts. Theft of cables and tracks are a huge problem in South Africa!
