On Tuesday 21 October 2025 at 11:20, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Special Ops Officers, in conjunction with other stakeholders conducted an operation, which led to the arrest of six male suspects for possession of suspected narcotics, gun powder and firearm in Primrose.
Information was received about possible drug dealing by a certain male, Officers proceeded to the location and on arrival the stakeholders found five males. Upon searching these males, in their possessions, Officers discovered 134 full and 3 half madrax tablets. One of the five males was also found with gun powders and as he was asked about it, he explained that it does not belong to him, and he will take the Officers to the owner.
Officers proceeded to the said address on Marlands street , where they found the suspect. Ipon searching him, he was found in possession of unlicensed firearms a pistol.
The group was arrested for possession of suspected narcotics, one of the five suspects with an additional charge of contravention of the explosive act and the other male was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm. All the six suspects were detained at Primrose police station.
