
In a series of coordinated law enforcement actions across the Western Cape on Tuesday, 07 October 2025, police confiscated a substantial quantity of dagga and arrested four suspects on charges of dealing.
The most significant seizure occurred during a vehicle checkpoint conducted by the Rural Flying Squad on the Prince Albert Road. Officers stopped and searched a luxury bus, where they discovered a brown bag containing five parcels of dagga. The total weight of the confiscated contraband was approximately 10,768 kilograms, with an estimated street value of R110,000.
An adult male was arrested at the scene for dealing in dagga. He is scheduled to appear in the Prince Albert Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
