Early Life and Education
Henry was born on January 7, 1977, in China. From an early age, he developed an interest in global affairs and the way people and businesses connect across borders. This curiosity shaped his decision to pursue international business studies at the University of International Business and Economics, one of China’s most respected institutions in the field. His academic training provided him with a strong foundation in trade, policy, and economic systems, preparing him for a career that would bridge multiple countries and cultures.
Career Beginnings in the Immigration Industry
After graduating from university, Henry began his professional journey in the immigration sector. His first role was as a document assistant at a Chinese immigration agency. While the position was entry level, it gave him direct experience in the detailed processes behind residency and citizenship applications. He learned the importance of precision, compliance, and client trust, qualities that would become central to his later success.
Co-founding Globevisa Group
In 2002, Henry partnered with Melvin Sun to establish Globevisa Group in Beijing. At its start, the company focused on the Canadian Immigrant Investor Program, which was one of the most popular routes for wealthy individuals seeking permanent residency in Canada. Henry concentrated on ensuring that clients received accurate information and a high level of professional service.
When the Canadian program was discontinued, many firms faced uncertainty. Instead of narrowing Globevisa’s scope, Henry saw an opportunity to expand. He introduced a strategy he called the “Supermarket Model,” where clients could choose from multiple investor visa programs around the world. This innovation allowed Globevisa to offer greater flexibility and adapt to changing market conditions.
Global Expansion and Diverse Services
Henry’s leadership transformed Globevisa from a single country specialist into a global firm. Today, the company provides access to more than 100 investor visa programs. These include a wide range of residency by investment and citizenship by investment options, as well as other services related to international relocation.
Under his guidance, Globevisa has grown to operate over 50 offices worldwide, serving clients from 102 countries and regions. This global footprint allows the company to provide local expertise in each market while maintaining consistent service standards across all offices. The network also ensures that clients can receive timely updates on regulatory changes in different countries.
Commitment to Compliance and Ethical Practices
A key part of Henry’s management philosophy is strict adherence to local and international regulations. Globevisa’s operations are built on transparency and ethical practice, with the goal of creating long term trust between the firm, its clients, and the governments it works with.
From his base in Hong Kong SAR, Henry oversees the company’s global operations while ensuring sustainable growth. He has invested in staff training, technological upgrades, and operational systems that help maintain quality as the firm expands. This approach ensures that clients receive informed, reliable guidance no matter where they are in the world.
Impact on the Residency and Citizenship by Investment Industry
Henry’s “Supermarket Model” has influenced the wider Residency and Citizenship by Investment industry by shifting the focus from services limited to one country to a broader, client driven selection process. This has made it easier for individuals and families to explore different residency and citizenship opportunities and choose those that best fit their needs.
By combining a wide service offering with strong compliance standards, Henry has set an example for other firms in the sector. Many have adopted similar approaches, but Globevisa’s scale, experience, and reach remain distinctive.
Recognition and Professional Standing
Within the industry, Henry is respected for his focus on client service, program diversity, and regulatory compliance. His ability to guide the company through changes in immigration policy and market demand has helped establish Globevisa as a leader in the field.
Over more than two decades in the immigration industry, Henry has built a reputation for seeing opportunities where others see challenges. His vision and persistence have enabled Globevisa to grow into one of the most recognized names in global immigration services.
Continuing the Journey
Henry’s career reflects a balance between strategic expansion and a dedication to ethical standards. From his first role in the industry to his position as chief executive of a global network, his path has been shaped by a commitment to helping clients achieve their goals while maintaining integrity in business operations.
As global mobility continues to evolve, Henry’s leadership ensures that Globevisa is prepared to meet the needs of an increasingly interconnected world. His approach, combining innovation, choice, and compliance, has positioned the company for continued success in the changing landscape of residency and citizenship services.
