The body of Sgt Michael Van Der Watt(35) was found today about 2km from where his bike was found – at the Van Stadens River gorge.
He sustained a gunshot and his pistol was found lying next to him.
No foul play suspected. An inquest docket is opened at SAPS Kabega Park.
