Various SAPS specialised units have responded to an attempted armed robbery that turned into a hostage situation at a retail store in Nyanga Junction this morning.
Earlier, shots were heard inside the mall and a 25 year old security guard was wounded.
Police experts are on the premises and the situation is on-going.
