Three individuals, including the mother of a four-year-old child, have been arrested in Newclare, Johannesburg, following the circulation of a disturbing video on social media. The footage allegedly shows the suspects giving the toddler a pipe to smoke.
Authorities confirmed the arrests after the video sparked public outrage. While it remains unclear what substance was in the pipe, the suspects now face charges of child abuse.
A police spokesperson stated, “We take such incidents extremely seriously. The safety and well-being of children are paramount, and those responsible for endangering them will face the full might of the law.”
