The body of an unidentified man was discovered in the roof of the Hazyview Police Station earlier this week before being removed on Thursday, 26 June 2025.
The grim find came after police and staff at the station reported a foul odor permeating the building and surrounding area. Initial suspicions pointed to a dead animal as the source of the smell, but a preliminary search failed to locate anything.
The mystery deepened on Wednesday, 24 June 2025, when workers removing roof tiles uncovered the decomposing body of a man beneath the rafters. Authorities confirmed that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man may have been electrocuted, though the circumstances leading to his death remain unclear. A key unanswered question is how the deceased gained access to the roof space. Tools were found near his body, but their significance is still under investigation.
As of now, the man’s identity remains unknown, and police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in identifying him. Further forensic and investigative work is underway to determine the exact cause of death and the events leading to the incident.
Updates will be provided as more details emerge.
