Community Outrage and Failed Mediation
Residents are demanding the immediate removal of foreign nationals from the area, rejecting attempts by local authorities to mediate. Community meetings held this week have failed to ease hostilities, with locals insisting that foreign nationals must leave.
“They have to leave, so we can resolve our own problems amongst ourselves,” said one community leader, who expressed frustration over the police’s inability to address the initial crime. “The police don’t do anything. I’m very disappointed.”
