A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was shot execution-style outside his home in Hilltop near Trenance Park – KZN this morning (Saturday).
Reaction Officers were dispatched to their fatally injured colleagues home after he was found unresponsive by neighbours. On arrival at approximately 09:47, Paramedics discovered that the 26 year old had been shot in the head execution style in his yard. He was still in possession of his valuables and there was no sign that the shooter had entered his residence. A spent 9mm cartridge was recovered on scene.
Neighbours informed Reaction Officers that they heard a gunshot and upon investigation discovered the fallen RUSA Member lying in a pool of blood. It cannot be confirmed if the execution is linked to multiple death threats received from criminals arrested by Reaction Officers.
