SAPS Despatch is seeking the community’s assistance into the investigation of a culpable homicide that occurred on Saturday 19 April 2025 on the Old Uitenhage Road involving a pedestrian. The driver failed to stop at the accident scene.
It is alleged that at approximately 17:30 on abovementioned date, the deceased, 62-year-old, Sandra Lottering was coming from Despatch towards Khayamnandi. As she was crossing the road a white VW Jetta 2019 model bumped her, she died on the scene and the vehicle drove off without stopping at the accident scene. On the scene the members found a right-side mirror and a lower cart cover.
SAPS Despatch is looking for the driver of the 2019 VW Jetta. If anyone can assist with any information that could assist with the identity of the driver of the VW Jetta is requested to contact SAPS Despatch on 082 441 7900, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
