ALS Paramedics Medical Services together with SAPS and Metro Police arrived on the scene at the N2 Near the NPC cement Factory to find total chaos.
Paramedics found that a Cash in Transit Vehicle had been forced off the road before it was blown up by multiple suspects who then robbed the vehicle of its contents. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that multiple people had been injured and immediately a triage system was set up and more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist with the multiple casualty scene.
On the actual scene Paramedics treated three security Officers for various injuries and were stabilized on the scene by ALS Paramedics before been transported to a nearby Durban Hospital. On the same scene approximately 500 metres from the scene three occupants from a bus traveling to work had sustained multiple gunshot wound, they were also stabilized by ALS Paramedics before been transported to various Durban Hospitals….
