The Police are searching for the families of three people whose bodies were found this morning, Friday 17 January 2025 at about 05h00 am at a certain trading farm at Khombaso in Mbuzini (in the Nkomazi area).

As a routine, the farm owner indicated that she went to the farm to open at the said time and upon arrival, she noticed two male persons inside the premises, lying motionless. It is said that she also noticed a ladder next to a building. On further investigation, it is said that she noticed that the two males were seemingly dead. It was during this time when she called the Police for assistance.

When the Police arrived and conducted a preliminary investigation, a third body of a male was found in the garden at the farm, it is suspected that the three could have been somehow in the farm to conduct some illegal activities.

Surprisingly, most of the corrugated iron’s nails were removed from the building and a ladder might have been used by the three to reach to the roof.

All three deceased sustained visible injuries, and nearby, a bakkie was also found torched, though its registration number plates were still visible. This vehicle is also suspected to have been used by the three males as transportation for some items.

The incident is suspected to have occurred between Thursday, 16 January 2025 at 18:00 and in the early hours of Friday, 17 January 2025.

At this stage, the alleged suspects are unknown, and Police are busy conducting some preliminary investigation at the crime scene in an attempt to get some clarity on what had transpired at the farm.

Police urge anyone with information that may assist in apprehending the suspects to contact Detective Sergeant Sipho Shekwa at 072 119 3487 or the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Members of the public can also send information via MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated as confidential, and callers may opt to remain anonymous.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi has strongly condemned this barbaric act and discouraged people from taking the law into their own hands.
