In a united front to ensure safety during the festive season, Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene and MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Xolile Nqatha, led a roadblock on the N2 in Mthatha as part of the #SaferFestiveSeason operations.
The roadblock aimed to combat crime, seize illegal firearms and ensure #RoadSafety during the busy holiday period.
After the roadblock, the team extended their safety operation to hotspot areas within Mthatha, including malls and taxi ranks maintaining #PoliceVisibility to ensure that shoppers and commuters alike are and feel safe….
