On Wednesday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in Malan Street Meyerton, Gauteng. Reports from the scene indicate that the seventy-year-old- man was cleaning his firearm when a shot went off. Exact detail to the incident, however, will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man to have sustained a life-threatening wound. The advanced life support paramedic and his team placed the man on a ventilator and after he was stabilised, they transported him to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
