Cattle theft on the rise in the Sambokfontein area

Farms are often the target of crime and stock theft is on the rise.

The latest incident of crime targeted by unscrupulous criminals is a farm situated in the Sambokfontein area, Fezile Dabi District, Mafube Municipality, Tweeling, in the Free State Province.

On Thursday, October 13, perpetrators gained entry into the farm and tied up a female victim. The suspects then stole 60 herds of cattle.

The cattle are branded for identification purposes with the marking “DRS”.

The South African Police are continuing with an investigation and no further details have been released at this stage.
