Just after 21:00 last night the Drift Reaction control center received a panic activation from a property in Elandsdrift.
The control center manager contacted the residents as the system showed they were not clients and they reported that they had an armed house robbery.
Being in serious danger the Iron Fist Squad as well as tactical units was dispatched. On arrival the residents reported that more than three suspects simply forced the front door open and immediately started shooting at the residents in the lounge.
More than 15 rounds were fired inside the house. Luckily no one was struck.
The Iron Fist Squad then found that the suspects entered the property by once again bypassing the electric fence.
The suspects made off with a lot of electrical equipment.
