Four men, accused of killing Durban accountant Hoosen Dhoda, are expected to apply for bail in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Dhoda was killed in an alleged botched business robbery on 1 August 2016.
Sipho Golden Mbele, Bomakwakhe Magubane, Sandile Patrick Dlamini and Ayanda Dlamini face a charge of murder. Investigations continue.
Three men, including a metro police officer, were arrested in Umlazi for days after the murder, and the last man was arrested on August 9 in Nodwengeni, Applebosch area, where he was hiding.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said on 1 August, at around 8am, Berea police received a report of murder.
“The body of Hoosen Dodha who was the manager of the business premises in Cowey Road, Berea was found with fatal gunshot wounds to the body. The business premises was also ransacked but it is still unclear of what was stolen during the ordeal,” Gwala said at the time.
“Seven spent 9mm cartridges were recovered from the scene.”
