On Wednesday two suspects were detained and arrested for housebreaking in Viooltjie Street, Bellville at 02H45.
A neighbor contacted Bassett Alarms and asked for assistance when he returned home after 02H00 and noticed two suspects in his neighbor’s premises.
An armed response officer was dispatched and arrived minutes later.
The resident told the officer that two suspects was in his neighbor’s premises, he shouted at them and they ran away.
The reaction officer was given the clothes description and started to search for them.
He noticed the two suspects in Suikerbossie Street and detained them. Bellville SAPS members arrived soon afterwards and arrested the two suspects for attempted housebreaking.
