Yesterday two suspects were arrested after they broke into a house in Durbanville Hills.
At approximately 12H40 a call for assistance was send out over the DCI radio network of a housebreaking in progress in Sederberg Street, Durbanville Hills.
Neighborhood watch members and armed response companies responded to the call.
Some of the security and Neighborhood watch members who responded were in the road observing get away points and others were in the yards looking for the two suspects that had broken into a house nearby.
The suspects were jumping over boundary walls trying to get away.
Several minutes past before noises were heard in a neighbor’s premises.
The officers went to investigate and found the two suspects hiding in a bush.
Both suspects were detained until SAPS members arrived.
Several presumably stolen items were found on the two suspects.
Good teamwork ensured a successful arrest.
