Yesterday morning police managed to foil a possible armed robbery at a shopping mall in Delft, Western Cape when four armed robbers were arrested and an illegal firearm recovered.
Police speedily responded to information of a possible armed robbery at a mall in Delft and during their patrol of the area they spotted a double cab truck with four male suspects, who gave immediate chase while shooting at police. Following a pursuit of the suspects and an exchange of gunfire the suspects aged between 37 and 42 were arrested.
Once charged they are due to make a court appearance in Blue Downs. The truck which was hijacked in Nyanga was also confiscated.
