Marshall Security received a panic alert from store in Rinaldo Road, Glen Hills, Durban at approximately 16:00 on Sunday
Armed reaction officers were immediately dispatched and upon further investigation it was ascertained that three men armed with handguns entered the convenience store, holding up the store clerk, demanding cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot to a nearby getaway vehicle.
An extensive search of the area was conducted , however the efforts proved unsuccessful and the suspects remain at large.
The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation.
