WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – US jobless claims hit their highest levels since August last week, from near historically low levels of unemployment in the week prior, according to Labor Department data on Wednesday that appeared to bolster the chance of the Federal Reserve tapering its rate hikes to cool inflation.
